Pigs has become the leading cutting edge club nights in the UK. Their strange and often discussed music policy ranges from New-Wave to obscure Electro to US hardcore to Crunk and beyond, from a broad play list including the likes of M.I.A, The Germs, Diplo, Matt & Kim, Foals, No Age, Kid Sister, Simian Mobile Disco, Run DMC, Minor Threat, Santogold...you get the picture! The media have identified the night as the club for the modern Generation-X and its now becoming increasingly difficult to find any band who hasn't at one time or another frequented Pigs, in the party sense not the live sense, although Metronomy, Simian Mobile Disco, Futureheads, ARE Weapons, Black Wire, Pink Grease and Long Blondes have played their live. Resident Johnny Florida is on hand every month to relieve you, so to speak alongside the Heads Up Crew and lots of other friends. Check their Myspace for special events and stuff like that. Always arrive early as it’s prone to selling out.
